Junior Lainey Kekic (Canfield/Western Reserve) helped Ohio Wesleyan to 3 first-place finishes as the Bishops successfully defended their North Coast Athletic Conference Relays championship with a win in the annual meet on Saturday in Granville.

Kekic and Amburgey also finished second in the long jump relay, while Kekic, Hilyard, senior Kara Reiter (Chardon), and senior Sarah Shinn (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) finished second in the 1600-meter relay.

Amburgey also teamed with junior Laura Packard (Mount Vernon) to win the 55-meter hurdles relay with a total of 19.23 seconds.

Packard and sophomore Chelsea Imm (Glandorf/Ottawa-Glandorf) paired up for a win in the pole vault relay with a total of 17-11 3/4.

The Bishop distance medley relay team of Shinn, Reiter, junior Rachael Newman (Strongsville), and junior Kat Zimmerly (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane) won its event in 12:30.33.

Sophomore Hannah Phlipot (Van Wert) and sophomore Sam Smyth (Falmouth, Maine) claimed Ohio Wesleyan's other first-place finish, winning the shot put relay with a total of 74-6 1/4.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Emma Lisull (Ann Arbor, Mich./Greenhills) and freshman Jane Lehman (Amherst/Steele), who finished second in the 5000-meter run relay; and the sprint medley relay team of Dunbar, Lourette, Mitchell, and senior Claire Everhart (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane), which placed second.
