Two Bishops Named to
NFHCA All-Region Teams

Two Ohio Wesleyan University field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-Great Lakes Region teams, it was announced by the NFHCA.

Senior midfielder Alyse Marotta (Dublin/Jerome) was a first-team all-region selection, while sophomore defender Jenna Ortega (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) was a second-team all-region choice.

Marotta contributed 2 goals and an assist to the Ohio Wesleyan offense, and led the Battling Bishops with 3 defensive saves this season, the latter figure tying for fifth place in the North Coast Athletic Conference.

Ortega led an Ohio Wesleyan defense that ranked fourth in the North Coast Athletic Conference in fewest goals allowed (35).

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 6-12 record. The Battling Bishops finished with a 4-10 record in NCAC competition, tying for sixth place in the final league standings.
