[ Megan Weissenberger ]Junior outside hitter Megan Weissenberger (Toledo/Central Catholic) and sophomore middle hitter Tamra Londot (Utica) led Ohio Wesleyan as the Bishops swept Oberlin in 3 sets for their first North Coast Athletic Conference win of the season on Sunday at Kenyon College in Gambier.

Ohio Wesleyan defeated Oberlin by scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-18. The win broke Ohio Wesleyan's 20-match losing streak in NCAC competition, dating back to Oct. 24, 2009.

In Sunday's first match, Denison defeated Ohio Wesleyan by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-18. The matches wrapped up the first of 2 NCAC Play Dates of the season, in which half of the conference schedule is played.

Weissenberger pounded out 10 kills and Londot added 8 more to lead the Bishop offense against Oberlin. Junior setter Brittany Vickers (Newark/Utica) distributed 22 assists. Defensive leaders for the Bishops included sophomore libero Emily Stewart (Toledo/East Palestine) with a team-high 18 digs and Weissenberger, who added 12 digs.

Against Denison, Weissenberger had a team-high 8 kills, while Londot and junior outside hitter Heather Kuch (Aurora) added 4 kills apiece. Freshman setter Tavia Croom (Heath) dished out 12 assists, Stewart collected 14 digs, and Weissenberger added 13 digs.
