Coach Marcus Gill


[ Marcus Gill ] Marcus Gill is in his first season as an assistant men's basketball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Gill came to Ohio Wesleyan from Albion College, where he was in his second stint as an assistant men's basketball coach for the Britons, also serving as the junior varsity head coach.

During the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons, Gill was a graduate assistant men's basketball coach at Siena Heights, also serving as the junior varsity head coach. He earned his master's degree in educational leadership from Siena Heights in 2008.

Gill began his coaching career at Albion immediately after his graduation in 2004. He helped the Britons compile a 26-4 record, win the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletics Association championship, and advance to the final 8 in the NCAA Division III tournament that season.

During his Albion playing career, Gill was the point guard for Briton teams that won the MIAA championship his junior year and compiled a 20-win season his senior year.

Gill majored in physical education and minored in health at Albion. He is a native of Detroit.
