2005 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships

NCAA Division III Championships Delayed - With the possibility of frost overnight, the starting times for Saturday's championships have been pushed back an hour. The women's race will start at noon and the men's race will start at 1 p.m. The following schedule reflects times updated on Friday, Nov. 18.

Thursday, Nov. 17

Noon-6 p.m.: Course open for inspection.

Friday, Nov. 18

9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.: Course open for inspection.

2-4:15 p.m.: Packet pickup/memento pickup.
(Branch Rickey Arena/Gordon Field House)

4:30 p.m.: Mandatory coaches' meeting.
(Benes Room, Hamilton-Williams Campus Center)

4:30 p.m.: Student-Athlete Social.
(Atrium, Conrades◊Wetherell Science Center).

6:30 p.m.: Athletes and Coaches Banquet
(Branch Rickey Arena)

Following Banquet: Coaches Social
(Florence Room, Holiday Inn-Worthington).

Saturday, Nov. 19

10:30 a.m.: Course opens to competitors.

Women's Race (6000 meters)

11:30 a.m.: First gun fired (30 minutes to start)

11:35 a.m.: National anthem, women's race competitors move to assigned boxes

11:40 a.m.: Second gun fired (20 minutes to start), begin clerking procedure

11:50 a.m.: Third gun fired (10 minutes to start)

Noon: Start of race

Men's Race (8000 meters)

12:30 p.m.: First gun fired (30 minutes to start)

12:40 p.m.: Second gun fired (20 minutes to start), men's race competitors move to assigned boxes, begin clerking procedure

12:50 p.m.: Third gun fired (10 minutes to start)

1 p.m.: Start of race

1:30-2:45 p.m.: Post-race luncheon for athletes and coaches only

3 p.m.: Awards ceremony and results distribution
(Branch Rickey Arena)
