2008-09 Year in Review

Ohio Wesleyan University has just concluded one of our finest years ever in athletics.

The unique blend of academic and athletic success that student-athletes can experience at Ohio Wesleyan was never more visible than during 2008-09. Our staff, students, fans, parents, and alumni all were treated to special performances on and off the playing surfaces. The ability of our more than 500 student-athletes to come together, share together, work together, and succeed together is inspiring.

Winning our ninth All-Sports title is meaningful. I appreciate the great efforts our athletes made this past year as they balanced academic and athletic pursuits.

Athletics and recreation at Ohio Wesleyan play a large part in the lives of so many of our young people. Their success is made possible by hard-working coaches, supportive parents, dedicated administrators, and, in large part, an amazing alumni base whose pride and dedication to Ohio Wesleyan drive us each and every day.

I hope you enjoy reading about the accomplishments of our alumni, student-athletes, and coaches from this year and will join us for another exciting year in 2009-10. And as always, please remember Team OWU. It is what allows us to compete.
