| Lelan Rogers, Ohio Wesleyan head men’s lacrosse coach from 1991-1999, played an instrumental role in helping lead Syracuse to its 10th NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse national title in May. Lelan was the defensive coordinator and received much acclaim for the aggressive and multifaceted defense he brought to Syracuse this spring. |

Summer Quesenberry ’08, a four-year member of the Ohio Wesleyan women’s basketball team, joined Vassar College as the assistant women’s basketball coach and was then named interim head coach on February 2, 2009. As a post player for the Bishops, Quesenberry was named captain in both her junior and senior year. In her senior season she received two respected team leadership honors: the Integrity Award and the Heart of a Champion Award.

Jay Hood '86, defensive coordinator and associate head coach at Miami University last season, was named linebackers coach at Ball State University. Hood was a three-time team captain and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame in 2004. Hood is married to his wife Renee, and is the son of a former head college football coach. His father, Wally Hood '57, was a head coach at Ohio Northern, Otterbein and Fairmont State. |

Tim Corbin '84 guided the Vanderbilt University baseball team to the Southeastern Conference tournament title game and an at-large bid to the NCAA's Louisville Regional.
The Commodores made their fourth straight NCAA tournament appearance and fifth in seven years under Corbin. |

Jamie Green '93 been named the head men’s golf coach at Duke University. Formerly the head coach at Charlotte, Green was an assistant coach at a number of schools prior to joining the 49ers. From 1999 to 2003, Green served as the assistant men's golf coach at North Carolina under head coach John Inman. He also served under Hall of Fame coach Mike Griffin at Auburn from 1997-99. At Ohio Wesleyan, Green competed in 1992 NCAA Division III Championship and won three letters in golf under Hall of Fame coach Dick Gordin '52.

Eric Nichols, former assistant men's soccer coach at Ohio Wesleyan, was named the head men's soccer coach at Bowling Green State University. Previously the head coach at Ohio Dominican University,
Nichols guided his final ODU team to a 19-3-0 overall record and was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/NAIA Midwest Region Coach of the Year and Ohio Coach of the Year in 2007. He was named the American Mideast Conference South Division Coach of the Year in three of his four seasons with the Panthers.

John Ellenwood, former assistant men's basketball coach at Ohio Wesleyan, was named the head men's basketball coach at Ashland University. Ellenwood was the head coach at Thomas More College, guiding the Saints into the NCAA Division III playoffs.

Barry Clemens ’65 was selected to the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame.
A native of Xenia, Clemens ended his Bishop career as the all-time leading scorer at both OWU and the Ohio Athletic Conference.
In four years he scored 1905 points and grabbed 1230 rebounds. Averaging 23 points and 14.7 rebounds as a senior, he won the OAC’s most valuable player award. Clemens went on to play 11 seasons in the National Basketball Association. He was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1965. After one season in New York, he played for Chicago (1966-69), Seattle (1969-72), Cleveland (1972-74) and Portland (1974-76) before retiring with career totals of 5,316 points and 2,526 rebounds. Appearing in 790 games, he averaged 15.9 minutes and 6.7 points. His highest point average was 9.3 points for Chicago in 1967-68.

elected into the Ohio Lacrosse Hall of Fame in June 2007 by the Ohio Lacrosse Foundation. At his request, he will be formally inducted with the June 2008 Hall of Fame Class, in Columbus, Ohio. |
